From the outside my family looks just like a that quintessential middle-class suburban family living the “American Dream”. In some ways we absolutely are but beneath the surface lies a lot of complicated circumstances and crazy stories.

Meet My Family

Heart Alex and I

Big Al is my soulmate and has grown into a very patient and selfless person over the years we have spent together. With every tragedy and every triumph Big Al has been right by my side and I could not imagine my life without him. Together we have made 3 beautiful children, owned 3 houses, owned/leased 6 cars, moved 6 times, lived in 3 states, had 1 snake, 2 dogs and currently have 1 Betta Fish and are waiting for my brand new hypoallergenic kitty to be born.

Big K is our oldest child, Established August 2009. He is our special little guy who made me a mommy and Big Al a daddy! Big K is a 2E (twice exceptional) little boy who is just the sweetest guy. He has ADHD and I have suspected HFA since he was a a baby, I just knew there was something special about him. HFA stands for High Functioning Autism which was previously known Asperger Syndrome prior to 2013. Big K loves his family, his friends, school, video games and cat videos on Youtube.

Heart K & K

Little K is our youngest child, Established November 2012. She is our Rainbow Baby *. Little K has been proven to be such a bright light of happiness in the lives of everyone she meets. Little K is loving, caring, empathetic, and smart as a whip. The flip side is that she uses her amazingly cute personality and adorable facial expressions & mannerisms to melt the hearts of and manipulate all those around her. Don’t fall for her antics, Little K knows exactly how to play the game and she is only 4.5! I bet she would be happy if she was a model or acting in some way. In her mind it always has to be all about Little K, our little ball of sass.

Paxton was our middle child, Established June 2011. Paxton was our second little boy and he was only 22 months younger then Big K which was within my planned age gap. Paxton died while he was still inside of my belly only 3 days before his scheduled delivery. He came silently into this world that same night. Paxton is actually the motivation behind Paxton’s Promise which I started in 2014. It’s The Loopy Llama is a resisted trade name of Paxton’s Promise LLC.  Learn More

*   A “rainbow baby” is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss.In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison.
